Meredith Mazzotta has left our staff and will no longer be editing Science Speaks but will do live blogging from the International AIDS Society Conference being held in Washington DC July 22-27.
Antigone Barton will be taking primary responsibility for Science Speaks. Antigone was a 2011 Nieman Global Health Reporting Fellow at Harvard University. A former newspaper reporter, she has reported on the HIV epidemic for the last 8 years, in the United States, the Caribbean and Africa. As a Knight Health Journalism Fellow in 2009, she worked with journalists in Zambia to establish a dedicated health reporting beat at the Zambia Daily Mail. Her reporting on AIDS has been recognized by the National Association of Black Journalists.
