The following is a guest blog post by The NAMES Project Foundation.

The NAMES Project Foundation is calling for volunteers and sponsors as it prepares to bring The AIDS Memorial Quilt in its entirety back to Washington, DC, this summer for its 25th anniversary. Each of its 47,000 panels was hand sewn by the friends and families of more than 94,000 people in the U.S. and globally who have lost their lives to AIDS. Bringing all 54 tons of The Quilt, designated an American Treasure, to Washington is a major undertaking.

Please visit to to volunteer and/or to donate. It will move you, inspire you, make clear our connections and responsibility for one another.
