Creative and Novel Ideas in HIV Research (CNIHR), in collaboration with the International AIDS Society (IAS), The National Institutes of Health (NIH) and NIH-funded Centers for AIDS Research (CFAR), has announced a research grant program for early career investigators with no prior experience in HIV research.
The program is sponsored by the National Centers for AIDS Research (CFARs), the Office of AIDS Research and the IAS. The awards will be up to two years in length and cover up to $150,000 in direct costs per year, with the full award amount varying depending on the proposal. IAS will provide funding for awardees to attend future IAS meetings during the proposed period of research.
Junior investigators who completed their PhD, medical residency or equivalent no more than 10 years ago who are faculty and new to the HIV field are invited to apply. Both domestic and international investigators are being considered.
